Not to scare anyone, but just letting everyone know, that we experienced our first earthquake. Nothing to be worried about, as for me it just felt like a slight shaking and the cabinets and closet doors shook slightly. It was measured as a 6.5 where it hit, but my guess from the little research I have done so far is that it was between a 2 & 3 by the time it hit us.
Earthquakes are very common here, so I have been anxious to feel my first one, and after today it's actually put my mind at a bit of ease, as it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be.
Brooke didn't even seem to care. As it was happening I was saying "Oh, Brooke come here it's our first earthquake". She came over to me, covered her head and we just stood there til it was done. Brooke was very brave. I asked her about it after it was done, and she said Mommy picked me up :)

Yeah, I heard there was one around there, around the same time there was one here, weird!
